Turn Your Boat into a Source of Income
I just found a service that lets your rent out your boat by the day. It’s called Boatbound. It does most of the hard stuff (contracts, listing, insurance, etc.) so you don’t have to.
It’s a cool service because boats are notorious for being financial anchors. There’s even an old saying, “the two best days for a boat owner is when they buy their boat and when they sell it.”
However, if you think about it, this saying is only true because many of us aren’t thinking like Americans anymore.
We’re making decisions like consumers.
Consumers consume. They buy based on desire and whim.
Worse, they see the products they buy as something they use for a while and eventually discard.
Consumers even do that when they buy their cars, their homes, and their boats.
In contrast, real Americans think differently.
We buy things because they enable us to become, at a minimum, economically independent.
We buy things to live better, more productive, lives.
Of course, that’s hard to do in today’s world.
We’re surrounded by gurgles and grunts of consumption.
Fortunately, there are services like Boatbound that are making it easier for individuals to turn what they purchase into an income stream.
PS: Consumption used to be the name of a terrible and deadly disease (TB). The same is true today, but the disease is psychological.
PPS: The bomb in the logo is for mindbombs. Ideas that change your thinking.
